Seastar

Seastar is a one-bedroom glamping pod in sheltered farmland near Stibb, sleeping 2 in a king-size bed with one bathroom. The pod's curved wood-clad walls and underfloor heating set it apart from a standard cottage.

A decked area and barbecue provide outdoor space, useful for a couple who want to eat outside during good weather, and guests can also use a shared indoor barbecue house and an on-site crafting studio. Parking is included. The decking has outdoor dining furniture, and an external wet room just outside the pod has a heated shower. A futon bean bag can be used as extra seating or for one additional child under 12. Dogs are not accepted.

Summerleaze Beach is 1.4 miles away and Crooklets Beach is 1.7 miles. Widemouth Bay, with more than two miles of sand, is 2.2 miles from the pod. Bude town, with its shops and cafes, is about 1 mile away. The Stibb guide covers the wider hamlet and its canal-side walks.

The limited appliance list suits short breaks better than a full self-catering week, and the shared barbecue house and studio are communal rather than private additions.

**Best for:** a couple wanting a heated pod, decked area and shared on-site facilities within reach of three Bude beaches. **Less good for:** guests travelling with a dog.
