Seathorns

Seathorns is a lodge-style glamping pod for two near Bude, with a king-size bed and one bathroom. Host Robert manages the booking. Curved walls and patio doors distinguish it from a conventional cottage, and the doors open onto an uninterrupted outlook over the farm.

The private garden, barbecue and parking provide the main outdoor facilities, useful for a couple who want to eat outside during good weather. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and washing machine are not available, and there is no step-free access. Dogs are not accepted.

Summerleaze Beach is the closest named beach at 1.4 miles. Crooklets Beach is 1.7 miles away, and Widemouth Bay is 2.2 miles. Bude, with its shops, cafes and South West Coast Path access, is about 1.5 miles from the pod, giving walkers and surfers several nearby options. The compact format comes with trade-offs: there's no lift or step-free route to the door, and the pod suits short breaks better than a full self-catering week given the limited appliances.

**Best for:** a couple wanting a small base for Bude beaches, coast walking and outdoor meals in a private garden. **Less good for:** guests travelling with a dog, anyone needing laundry facilities, step-free access, or the space and equipment of a full cottage.
