Seathrift

Seathrift is a curved, wood-clad pod on farmland near Stibb, a hamlet about 2 miles south of Bude, sleeping 2 in a king-size bed with one bathroom. Host Robert manages the booking, and underfloor heating serves the compact interior through colder months.

A private decked area has a barbecue and space to eat outside. Wi-Fi, a dishwasher and washing machine are not available. Parking is included. Dogs are not accepted. Shared facilities elsewhere on the farm include a barbecue house, a children's play area and a craft studio.

Bude is 1.5 miles away for shops, restaurants and the tidal sea pool at Summerleaze, which is 1.4 miles from the pod. Crooklets Beach is 1.7 miles away and Widemouth Bay is 2.2 miles. The Bude Canal, a flat walking and cycling route built in the 1820s, passes close to Stibb. The Stibb guide covers the hamlet and nearby coast in more detail.

The pod's private decking is the only outdoor space that belongs to it alone; the barbecue house, play area and craft studio are shared with other guests staying on the farm.

**Best for:** two guests wanting simple pod accommodation, private decking and access to Bude's beaches. **Less good for:** guests travelling with a dog, anyone relying on Wi-Fi or laundry facilities, or those wanting a conventional cottage layout or private garden.
