Stable Loft

Stable Loft is a three-bedroom loft conversion at Rosewastis Barns near St Columb Major, sleeping six with a private hot tub and enclosed garden. This is an inland base, 4.7 miles by road from the sand at Watergate Bay - useful if you want a quieter rural week than a coastal cottage gives, with the beaches a short drive away.

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms run across the upper level above the parking and entry. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and the standard hob/oven setup; Wi-Fi runs through the property. The garden is fully enclosed with the hot tub at its centre. There's no BBQ or wood burner here, and no dogs - bring rain plans for a few wet days because the cottage doesn't have an obvious indoor distraction beyond the TV.

St Columb Major is the nearest town for shops and the Old Inn, with St Mawgan and Cornwall Airport Newquay within 5 minutes. Drive west to the Watergate Bay Extreme Academy for surf lessons or onward to Mawgan Porth (5.2 miles), the wider quieter beach north past Bedruthan Steps. Newquay and Fistral are 5 miles south for the surf scene and restaurants.

Best for a family of six or two couples wanting a quiet rural base with a hot tub and easy car access to several north-coast beaches. Less good for dog owners, walkers wanting beach-on-the-doorstep, or anyone counting on a wood burner or sea views.
