Sunfish

Sunfish is a wood-clad glamping pod on a small site near Bude in north Cornwall. It sleeps up to four using one king-size bed and a camp bed intended for children, with one bathroom - the arrangement suits two adults with children rather than four adults sharing.

The curved, single-level pod has underfloor heating and an open-plan interior. A private decked patio has a BBQ and giant bean bags. The site also has a shared barbecue hut available to book and a shell-crafting studio. Parking is included, and host Robert manages the booking, but there is no Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine or dog access.

Summerleaze Beach is 1.4 miles away with its tidal sea pool, Crooklets Beach - Bude's main surf beach - is 1.7 miles and Widemouth Bay is 2.2 miles, all within reach by car or a longer walk. Bude town centre is 1.5 miles away for surf schools and equipment hire, and the South West Coast Path runs within 2 miles of the site. The Stibb guide covers the immediate rural area.

**Best for:** Two adults with children wanting a compact pod, private deck and three beaches within a short drive.

**Less good for:** Four adults, dog owners, guests needing step-free access, Wi-Fi, laundry, EV charging or a separate private garden.
