Sunrise

Sunrise is a two-bedroom cottage in New Polzeath sleeping 4, with a hot tub, private garden and a 4-star rating. Dogs are welcome (1 dog). The cottage sits within Polzeath Court, a short walk from the clifftop path with Polzeath Beach 600 metres below.

Inside, the sleeping arrangement suits two couples or a family: a mezzanine super-king master suite with en-suite bathroom, and a ground-floor bunk room with double beds large enough for adults, also en-suite. The open-plan living area has Velux windows that bring in good light, a Jacuzzi-style bath (separate to the hot tub outside), and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher. WiFi is included throughout.

The south-facing private patio has the hot tub, making it a draw for spring and autumn breaks when the beach is quieter. Polzeath Beach is a half-mile sandy surf beach with RNLI lifeguards in summer and multiple surf schools. The National Trust headland at Pentireglaze Haven is a 10-minute walk from the cottage, and the coast path runs north around Pentire Point to The Rumps - an Iron Age cliff castle with seal and dolphin sightings. Rock, with paddleboard and kayak hire on the Camel Estuary, is 4 miles by road.

Best for: couples or small families who want a hot tub, dog-friendly access and easy reach of New Polzeath’s quieter streets alongside Polzeath’s surf. Less good for: large groups of more than 4 or those needing more than 1 dog.
