Swallows is a converted dairy-barn cottage for two on a family farm near Porthcothan Bay. Its super-king-size bedroom can be arranged as two 3-foot twin beds, giving couples or friends a flexible sleeping option, and a walk-in wet room forms the single bathroom.

The open living space has a wood burner, and an enclosed private patio at the rear takes the place of a garden. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are included. Dogs are not accepted, so this suits a couple travelling without a pet.

Porthcothan Bay Beach, a narrow inlet with rock pools and sea caves at low tide, is 900 metres away. Treyarnon Bay is 0.9 miles from the farm, with Constantine Bay Beach, a long sandy surf beach, at 1.4 miles. St Merryn village, 2 miles away, has a Spar shop, the Cornish Arms pub and a fish and chip shop.
