Tresallyn Cottage is a single-storey property on a 100-acre working farm outside St Merryn, sleeping 2 in a king-size bedroom. The living area has a wood burner and the property has its own garden, with a dishwasher and washing machine included. The farm setting gives the cottage a quiet, rural character, with sheep and the working land visible from outside. Livery and stable hire are available on site for guests travelling with horses - unusual in this part of Cornwall.

Three surf and swimming beaches are within easy reach: Trevone Bay is 2.7km, Harlyn Bay is 3km, and Treyarnon Bay is 3.7km. Trevone Bay is a relatively sheltered sandy beach with rock pools at its northern end - a good option for families or those who find the larger Atlantic-facing bays too exposed. Constantine Bay and Booby's Bay are a few miles further south for more experienced surfers.

Padstow is 2.5 miles by road - a busy fishing town and food destination with Rick Stein's restaurants, a working harbour, and the start of the Camel Trail 18-mile cycle route to Bodmin. The North Cornwall coast between Padstow and Newquay holds some of the most consistent surf in England, with the beaches of Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay about 10 miles south.

Suits couples or solo travellers wanting a quiet farm base with multiple beaches within a short drive and access to Padstow's food scene. Good for horse owners who want to ride the North Cornwall countryside. Less good for groups - the property holds 2. Not great for those expecting a sea view or a village-pub location, as the setting is agricultural rather than coastal.
