The sitting room has a stone fireplace fitted with both an open fire and a wood burner - two heat sources for the same hearth, which is unusual and genuinely useful in the shoulder months when this part of Cornwall can be cold and damp. Coverack Beach is 2.2km - a sheltered, south-facing shingle and sand cove with a working harbour. Porthoustock Beach is 2.6km, a quieter option used mainly by locals. Ponsence Cove extends the options further at 5.6km. The Lizard coastal geology is distinctive here - serpentine rock outcrops and a shoreline shaped by Atlantic exposure.

St Keverne has a church, a pub, and a small square that gives it more of a village identity than many similar settlements on the peninsula. Falmouth and Pendennis Castle are around 12 miles north; the sub-tropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah are a short drive.

Ideal for couples or solo travellers who want a comfortable rural base on the Lizard with character and warmth, within easy reach of the coastal coves. Less good for those wanting the beach on the doorstep or a dog-friendly option.
