Temple House

Temple House is a four-bedroom property in Goonhavern, a village in mid-Cornwall between Perranporth and Truro. Eight guests sleep across a layout that includes a main sitting room with open fire, a wood burner, a separate sunroom, and a first-floor balcony off one of the double bedrooms. Three bathrooms serve the group, with a kitchen/diner and utility room for practical day-to-day use.

The wrap-around garden is one of the house's main features: a summer house, multiple patio areas, and off-road parking give the property more outdoor space than most eight-person rentals in this price range. Dogs are welcome. The house also has a karaoke machine - listed in the amenities, which either sells it or rules it out depending on who you're travelling with.

The property has accessible features, making it more suitable for guests with mobility requirements than most older Cornish cottages.

Perranporth Beach is 3.9km west - a 3-mile stretch of Atlantic-facing sand that handles crowds well in summer and is a reliable surf spot year-round. Holywell Bay is 6.5km northwest, a National Trust beach with sand dunes and a cave accessible at low tide. Trevellas Cove, smaller and quieter, is 6.8km.

Goonhavern village has a pub and a shop within walking distance, which takes some pressure off the car for evenings. Truro is roughly 15 minutes by car for supermarkets and a wider range of restaurants.

Good for larger groups or multi-family trips who need accessible facilities and outdoor space. Works for dog owners. Not ideal for those who need the beach within walking distance or want a coastal village atmosphere.
