The Gatherings

The Gatherings is a seven-bedroom house for 14 near Liskeard, an east Cornwall market town at the head of the Looe Valley. Four super king size zip-and-link rooms can become twins on request, while three further rooms have super king size beds. Eight bathrooms provide unusually strong capacity for a large group, and host Charlie manages the booking.

On-site facilities include a sauna, games rooms, a movie room, a hot tub and a tennis court. Wi-Fi, parking, a wood burner, a barbecue, a dishwasher, a washing machine and EV charging are included, and up to three dogs can stay.

Plaidy Beach, a calm, sheltered stretch with sand, shingle and good rock pooling, is 5.1 miles away. East Looe Beach, close to Looe's harbour cafes and shops, is 5.6 miles away, and Downderry Beach, dog-friendly year-round with views across Whitsand Bay, is 6.0 miles from the house. St Keyne is the nearest named village, while Liskeard itself has the Looe Valley branch railway and Stuart House, a 16th-century arts centre where Charles I once stayed.
