The Haybarn

The Haybarn is a four-bedroom apartment set on the hill above Mousehole, sleeping eight in two doubles and two twins. Recently refurbished with natural textures and muted tones throughout, it has off-street parking - practical in a village where roadside spaces fill quickly in summer.

The ground floor dual-aspect living room and separate kitchen-diner both open through French doors onto the garden. Inside there is a wood burner, an open fire, a freestanding bath, and a walk-in shower. The master suite has its own bathroom. A separate office space means the property works for groups that need to stay connected between days out.

Outside, the landscaped garden has a spacious hot tub, BBQ, lawn, and a table tennis table in the garage. Up to two dogs are welcome in the garden. Mousehole Beach is 0.7 miles down the hill. Lamorna Cove is 2.1 miles by road, and Penzance with its full range of shops and transport links is under 3.1 miles. Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre are a 20-minute drive.

Best for multi-generational families or two couples wanting a high-spec west Cornwall base with indoor-outdoor space. Less good for guests wanting proximity to surf beaches - the nearest reliable surf is at Sennen, around 30 minutes away.
