Bumbles

Bumbles is a granite cottage in Mousehole with three bedrooms and space for six: a king-size room, a double with its own en-suite, and a twin. The king and the double both look out over Mount's Bay towards the Lizard, and the kitchen window shares the same water view over the sink.

Two bathrooms serve the three rooms, so the twin has its own facilities separate from the king and double. A wood burner sits in a large stone fireplace in the sitting room, and the kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine alongside WiFi. Parking is provided but dogs aren't accepted. Two gardens wrap the cottage, both facing the bay, and a summerhouse gives a second sea-view spot for reading or a cup of tea away from the house. Mousehole itself, with its granite harbour and famous December lights, is a short walk from the door. Mousehole Beach is 200 metres away, Lamorna Cove is 1.7 miles along the coast road, and Eastern Green Beach is 3.3 miles off, more of a drive than a stroll. Location rates highest among the category scores, a 5 out of 5.

**Best for:** a family or two couples wanting sea-view bedrooms, two gardens and a beach close enough to reach before the kettle's boiled. **Less good for:** dog owners, or anyone who wants a larger track record of reviews to book against.
