Morwenna Cottage

Morwenna Cottage is a seafront cottage for six in Mousehole, the granite fishing village three miles south of Penzance. Its three bedrooms comprise a king-size room with a wooden four-poster bed, a double and a twin, though all six guests share a single bathroom, an important limitation for a full group.

Original period features run through the cottage, along with an exposed brick fireplace and wood burner. Sea views, WiFi and a garden with lawn and planted borders are included. There is no parking, dishwasher or washing machine, and dogs are not accepted, so drivers should plan where to leave a vehicle before arrival.

Mousehole Beach is 200m away, and the harbour, protected by its 14th-century breakwater, dries out at low tide right outside the door. Lamorna Cove is 1.7 miles from the cottage and Eastern Green Beach 3.3 miles. Mousehole's Tom Bawcock's Eve stargazy pie at the Ship Inn and the December harbour lights are among the village's best-known traditions, and host Victoria manages the booking.
