Bodmin Moor itself suits walking, hill running and mountain biking straight from the door, while the north and south Cornish coasts are both a short drive away - Boscastle, Port Isaac, Padstow, Rock and Fowey are all reachable for a day trip. Launceston Castle is 8.7 miles off and Tintagel Castle 12 miles; the nearest beach, Bossiney Cove, is 9.6 miles.

Best for walkers and cyclists based inland who want moor views and a car for coastal day trips. Less good for anyone wanting to walk to a beach, since the closest is nearly 10 miles away.
