The Lamp House

The Lamp House is a reverse-level house for four in Porthleven, with views across Mount's Bay from its first-floor living room. A king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom sit on the ground floor alongside two bathrooms, keeping washing facilities beside both bedrooms and separate from the living space above.

An enclosed terrace provides outdoor dining space overlooking the bay. The kitchen has a breakfast bar with two tall chairs, and the first-floor living area has comfortable sofas and panoramic views. A dishwasher and washing machine are included, and a Type 2 EV charger operates on a pay-as-you-go basis. Dogs are accepted, and the cottage's own garden gives them somewhere to stretch their legs before the beach.

Porthleven Beach, Cornwall's most exposed south-facing surf break and dog-friendly year-round, is 200 metres from the door. The harbour restaurants, Customs House Gallery and the coast path towards Loe Bar are all within a short walk. Porthcew Rinsey Cove, a National Trust cove with mining heritage in the cliffs, is 2.7 miles away, and Gunwalloe Church Cove, home to a 13th-century church built into the cliffs, is 3.4 miles from the house.

**Best for:** two couples or a family wanting two bathrooms, harbour access on foot and a sea-view living room.

**Less good for:** guests who need step-free accommodation, or private leisure facilities.
