The Loft

The Loft is an adults-only, dog-friendly 1-bedroom cottage in Porthleven village, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. It sits within the village itself, roughly 500 metres from the working harbour. WiFi, parking, and a garden are included; there is no dishwasher or washing machine.

The cottage is adult-only, which keeps the dynamic quieter than many village rentals in this area. Dogs are welcome. The garden offers outside space, and off-road parking removes the stress of Porthleven's tight streets.

Porthleven Beach faces south-west and picks up Atlantic swell - a winter surf spot for experienced surfers that also works for swimming in calmer months. RNLI lifeguards cover it in summer. The harbour is lined with restaurants: Kota and Kota Kai from chef Jude Kereama are the most prominent, alongside several cafes. The Penrose estate and Loe Bar - a shingle bank separating the sea from Cornwall's largest natural freshwater lake, Loe Pool - are a 15-minute walk east. Helston is 3 miles north, and the Lizard is about 20 minutes south.

**Best for:** couples or adult pairs seeking a village base in one of Cornwall's best food destinations; dog owners wanting parking and a garden.

**Less good for:** guests travelling with children; anyone needing a washing machine or dishwasher.
