Perranporth Beach - a 3-mile surf beach backed by dunes - is about 2 miles west, roughly a 5-minute drive. Trevellas Cove, a quiet rocky inlet used by local surfers, is around 3.5 miles. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes is about 4 miles south along the coast. Goonhavern itself has a pub, a fish and chip shop, and a convenience store. Newquay and its 11 beaches are 6 miles north. Saturday changeover.

Best for: couples wanting a quiet base with EV charging for exploring the north Cornwall coast without paying coastal premiums. Less good for: those who want to walk to a beach - every stretch of coast requires a short drive.
