The Lower Hay Barn

The Lower Hay Barn is a converted stone barn for four on a working farm near St Issey, a small village about two miles south of Padstow. An upstairs gallery bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, while the downstairs bedroom's super-king-size zip-and-link beds can be split into twins, with a Jack-and-Jill en-suite shared with the hallway.

Vaulted beamed ceilings and a wood burner shape the living space, and a barbecue is provided within two acres of grounds shared with two neighbouring barns. Wi-Fi, parking for three cars and a dishwasher are included, though there is no washing machine. Dogs are not accepted.

The Saints Way walking route to Padstow passes the property, and the Camel Trail is within reach for cycling. St Issey village, with its medieval church and the Ring O'Bells pub, is close by, and Padstow's harbour and restaurants are a short drive north. Daymer Bay Beach is 4.5 miles away, Trevone Bay 4.7 miles and Greenaway Beach 5 miles - all reachable by car rather than on foot. The St Issey guide covers the village and surrounding farmland.

**Best for:** Two couples or a family wanting two en-suite bedrooms, flexible beds and a walking route straight from the farm.

**Less good for:** Dog owners, guests wanting private grounds or in-house laundry, or anyone wanting a beach within walking distance.
