The Nook

The open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area sit on the ground floor, while the double bedroom and its en-suite shower room are both upstairs. Guests have full use of the owner's adjacent garden, which has a lawn, patio, BBQ, and a heated summerhouse with its own TV - a useful extra space on wet days or evenings.

Summerleaze Beach is 0.9 miles from the cottage - a popular surfing and swimming beach at the mouth of the River Neet, with a tidal seawater pool open in summer. Crooklets Beach is 1.3 miles north, and Northcott Mouth 2.1 miles. Bude's town centre pubs, cafes, and independent shops are within walking distance, along with a golf club, leisure pool, and tennis courts.

The surrounding North Cornwall coast offers some of the most consistent surf on the peninsula. Widemouth Bay is about 3 miles south, Crackington Haven around 8 miles, and the Devon border at Hartland Point is within 20 miles for those wanting to cross county. The South West Coast Path runs along the clifftops within a short drive.

Suits couples or solo travellers wanting a manageable base within walking distance of the beach and town. Works for EV drivers needing a charge point without paying hotel rates. Not great for those bringing dogs - the property does not accept them - or for anyone who cannot manage stairs, since the only bedroom and bathroom are upstairs.
