The Piggery

The Piggery is a single-storey one-bedroom cottage at Green Pig Farm in Castle Gate, near Longrock, sleeping 2 with 1 bathroom. The farm setting places the cottage in the flat agricultural land between Penzance and Marazion, with Mounts Bay and St Michael's Mount forming the backdrop to the south.

The cottage is straightforward for two: one bedroom, one bathroom, a garden, and a barbecue for outdoor cooking. Parking is included. No Wi-Fi, no washing machine, and no dishwasher - the focus here is a simple, low-cost rural base rather than a well-equipped holiday let. Saturday changeover.

Long Rock Beach is around 2 miles south-east - a wide sand and shingle stretch with direct views of St Michael's Mount. The beach is dog-friendly year-round and RNLI-patrolled in summer. Marazion, about 3 miles east, is the departure point for the tidal causeway crossing to St Michael's Mount. Penzance, with its harbour, restaurants, and mainline railway station, is roughly 2 miles west. The South West Coast Path runs along the shore between the two towns.

**Best for:** couples looking for a budget-friendly, quiet rural base within a few miles of the Mount's Bay coast, Marazion, and Penzance. **Less good for:** those wanting on-site facilities like Wi-Fi or a washing machine, or groups larger than two.
