Treetops

Treetops is a 4-bedroom house in Carbis Bay sleeping 8 with four bathrooms, a tiered garden on the seaward side, a wood burner, an open fire, and a BBQ. One of the four bedrooms is a ground-floor king with an en-suite shower, and dogs are welcome. Saturday changeovers; priced per week.

The interior is well-equipped with Wi-Fi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine. The wood burner and open fire mean the house works well outside peak summer. Four bathrooms for 8 guests - two en-suites and two family bathrooms - keeps the morning routine friction-free for larger groups. The garden steps down towards the coast path, and only the rear paved area is enclosed. Dogs are allowed in the downstairs hard-floor areas only.

Carbis Bay beach is 500 metres downhill - a Blue Flag sandy cove with RNLI lifeguard cover in summer, calm enough for kayaking and paddleboarding. Porthminster Beach in St Ives is 1.4 miles along the coast path, with its award-winning beach cafe and south-facing, sheltered water. The St Ives Bay Line branch railway connects Carbis Bay to St Erth in 12 minutes and on to St Ives in one further stop - useful for evenings in town without driving. Carbis Bay gives direct access to St Ives - galleries, restaurants, and the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden are a short walk or one rail stop away.

**Best for:** Families or groups of up to 8 wanting a dog-friendly base close to two Blue Flag beaches, with the option of St Ives on foot. **Less good for:** Couples wanting something compact.
