Penzance is a short drive or walk downhill, with supermarkets, the Art Deco Jubilee Pool lido on the seafront, and ferry departures to the Isles of Scilly. Marazion Beach and the tidal causeway to St Michael's Mount are around 2 miles along the coast road. Newlyn - Cornwall's largest working fishing port - is about 2 miles south.
