Trengoff

Trengoff is a four-bedroom cottage in Carbis Bay for eight guests, with two bathrooms across the property. Four separate bedrooms give the group proper privacy rather than relying on sofa beds, though everyone still shares two bathrooms between eight people.

The enclosed garden gives families and dog owners private outdoor space, and dogs are welcome throughout the stay. Wi-Fi, parking, a dishwasher and washing machine are included, which helps with a full week for a large group. The cottage is not set up for step-free access. Changeover runs on a Saturday.

Carbis Bay beach is 0.3 miles downhill from the cottage, a stretch of pale sand that holds Blue Flag status and is sheltered enough for swimming most of the year. Porthkidney Beach is 1.1 miles away across the dunes toward the Hayle Estuary, and Porthminster Beach, a sheltered, south-facing cove with a beachfront cafe, is 1.4 miles away on the walk into St Ives. **Best for:** extended families or groups of up to eight wanting four separate bedrooms, a dog-friendly garden and Carbis Bay beach within a five-minute walk. **Less good for:** guests needing step-free access, or groups wanting more than two bathrooms between eight people.
