Droskyn is a one-bedroom apartment in a converted Cornish stone house in Perranporth, split into three self-catering apartments with an owner-occupied ground floor run by Paul and Louise. It sleeps two in a double bed, set at the rear of the building with a view over the town rather than the sea.

The apartment has electric heating and heated towel rails, with electricity included in the price, plus a separate shower room and one dedicated parking space. There's no outside seating, though the owners store guests' surf boards and bikes in the yard. Wheelchair-accessible features are available, and one dog is accepted per booking at no extra charge. Perranporth Beach is roughly 800 metres from the door, a 3-mile stretch of sand backed by the Watering Hole pub on the sand itself. Trevellas Cove is 2.3 miles north and Trevaunance Cove 2.6 miles, both a short drive up the coast. The A30 is close by for day trips to St Ives, Newquay and the Eden Project.

Best for a couple or solo traveller wanting a walkable, dog-friendly base close to the beach. Less good for anyone wanting sea views or an outdoor space to sit in, since neither is part of this apartment.
