Whitsunday House

Whitsunday House overlooks Porthkidney Beach in Carbis Bay, a detached villa with panoramic sea views from most rooms. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms. Three seaward-facing rooms are on the first floor, and one sits on the ground floor. The master king has a private balcony and en-suite shower, and the second room has twin beds that can become a super king on request, made at least 7 days before arrival.

The living area is open-plan with a bay window and a real log fire, and the dining table seats eight. On the ground floor, a separate games room has a pool table and a 55-inch 4K TV with Xbox One. The kitchen has a five-ring Rangemaster range with two ovens, an American-style fridge/freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher, and a utility room holds a washing machine and dryer. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are included, and a cot and highchair are provided; guests bring their own cot bedding.

The sloping, enclosed garden has a raised decked area with a table for eight, and a barbecue. Parking is off-road, for three cars. The front door is reached down a sloping path, and the garage is not available to guests. A shop is 0.5 miles away, the beach 0.4 miles and a pub 1.3 miles.

The house suits two families or a group of friends sharing, and is less good for anyone with a dog, as pets are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted either.
