No organiser, parish or council page has yet confirmed a Polperro Lantern Parade for 2026. A 15 December date appears in some older listings, but no local source has confirmed it.
The most recent local festive calendar covers December 2025. It records a Polperro parade that season, but a past programme is no guarantee that the event will return on the same date or with the same route.
Current status
Date: Awaiting a 2026 announcement.
Venue and route: Not confirmed for 2026.
Admission: Not confirmed for 2026.
Programme: Lantern-making, carols, music and Father Christmas were features of earlier local festive programmes, not confirmed 2026 details.
If a parade is confirmed, the village itself shapes how you should plan the evening. Polperro sits in a deep narrow valley and cars are banned from the inner village, so visitors park at Crumplehorn car park at the top and walk about half a mile downhill to the harbour. The tuk-tuk shuttle that covers that stretch runs from Easter to October, which means a December parade is a walk in both directions, uphill on the way back, in the dark. Sensible footwear and a torch matter more here than at most Cornish festive events.
Check Polperro community channels and Looe Community News before making a special journey.
We’ll update this page with the date, route and organiser contact as soon as a local source confirms the next parade.
