A three-bedroom dog-friendly cottage in the heart of Polperro village, sleeping 6 across two doubles and a bunk room. Private parking is included - a genuine rarity in a village where cars are banned from the inner lanes and most visitors leave theirs at the top of the hill.

The open-plan ground floor runs lounge, kitchen, and dining together, with a wood burner as the centrepiece. One of the double bedrooms has an en-suite shower room; a family bathroom with freestanding bath serves the rest. The bunk room’s top bunk is suitable for children only. Outside, a small paved terrace sits off the living area, and there is a dog shower for muddy paws after coast path walks.

Polperro harbour is a short walk from the front door. Around 13 registered fishing boats still operate from the harbour, and the Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing is open Easter to October. For beaches, Talland Bay lies about 1 mile south - a sheltered cove between Polperro and Looe with calm clear water for swimming and kayaking. The South West Coast Path section to Looe covers about 5 miles one-way through Talland Bay. Looe itself is about 4.5 miles for fish restaurants and crabbing off the pier.

Best for families or a group of friends who want a proper village base with easy harbour access, coast path walks on the doorstep, and no parking stress. Less suited to guests expecting a garden - the terrace is compact - or those needing ground-floor sleeping.
