Pol Glen is a three-bedroom contemporary townhouse in Polperro, sleeping four guests with off-road parking - which matters in a village where car access is restricted at peak season. The house sits in an elevated position at the edge of the village centre, close to the main car park and within easy walking distance of the harbour.

Inside, the house is laid out over two floors with a sun-facing front terrace and small garden. The three bedrooms sleep four, a good fit for a small family or two couples rather than a large group.

Polperro is a working fishing village with a narrow harbour arm, several fish restaurants on the quayside, and access to the South West Coast Path. Lekerock Cove Beach is 1.7km on foot and Talland Bay 1.8km - a quieter stretch of coast popular with kayakers. Lansallos Beach is 3.9km, accessible via a wooded valley path from the National Trust car park. For the wider area, Polperro has a small heritage museum covering its smuggling and fishing history.

Best for: small families or couples wanting a village base, car-free exploration of east Cornwall's coast path. Less good for: groups larger than four, or guests wanting sea views or a larger garden.
