Harbour Watch Polperro

Harbour Watch Polperro is a three-bedroom clifftop cottage in Polperro sleeping six, with sea views across the village rooftops and harbour from the super-king bedroom, the bunk room, and a front veranda. The position puts the cottage above the narrow lanes of this car-free fishing village, with the Polperro Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing just 150 metres down the hill.

Three bedrooms - a super-king, a double, and a bunk room - are served by a family bathroom upstairs and a ground-floor shower room. The garden is dog-friendly and a private car park is nearby (cars are banned from Polperro's inner lanes, so parking close to the property is a real advantage). WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine are all included.

Talland Bay is about a mile south - a sheltered mixed cove with two seasonal cafes, calm water for swimming and kayaking, and year-round dog access. The South West Coast Path from Polperro to Looe runs 5 miles one-way through Talland Bay, a solid half-day walk with views of the Heritage Coast throughout. The Eden Project is around 14 miles north-west, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan around 10 miles.

**Best for:** Couples or families of six wanting a clifftop position above a genuinely historic fishing harbour, with dogs, coastal walks, and easy access to the south Cornwall coast path on the doorstep. **Less good for:** Guests who struggle with hills - Polperro's lanes are steep - or those wanting open Atlantic surf beaches.
