A first-floor apartment in the Sands development on Porthrepta Road, Carbis Bay, sleeping 4 across two bedrooms. The living room opens onto a private sea-facing balcony through sliding glass doors, with the bay visible across the water from your chair.

The apartment has two bedrooms: a twin with its own en-suite and private balcony access, and a double with floor-to-ceiling windows and views across the bay. Both face seaward. Wifi, parking, dishwasher, and washing machine are included. The landscaped shared gardens at the front of the development also look out to sea.

Carbis Bay beach is 500m from the door - a sheltered, south-facing sand bay protected from Atlantic swells by the headland. Porthminster Beach in St Ives is 1.3 miles further along the coast. The South West Coast Path passes 5 minutes from the building; follow it west for 30 minutes to reach St Ives harbour and the Tate gallery.

The open-plan living room has sliding doors to a balcony looking over the bay, and the twin bedroom has its own en-suite.

Best for couples or families of four who want sea views without being right in St Ives. Less suited to anyone after a quiet, rural location - this is a modern development close to the beach with a resort feel in high season.
