2 Copper Kettle Apartment occupies the second floor of a harbour-front building in St Ives. Its double bedroom sleeps two, while the open-plan sitting area and kitchenette face the harbour. This is a compact town apartment rather than a cottage, with no garden, parking, dishwasher or washing machine. WiFi is included. Dogs are not accepted.

The setting comes with an important trade-off. The apartment is directly above the Rum and Crab Shack, a bar and restaurant licensed for entertainment. Live jazz, blues and DJ nights can continue until midnight, particularly at weekends. Guests who enjoy being close to evening activity may value that position; light sleepers should take the noise warning seriously. Entry is via exterior granite steps followed by an internal staircase.

St Ives Harbour Beach is 100 metres away and Porthmeor Beach is 200 metres away. Benches on the road outside overlook the harbour, and galleries and museums are within the town. The St Ives guide has further beach and walking ideas.

**Best for:** A couple who want the harbour, beaches and central St Ives activity close at hand, especially guests planning to eat out and join the evening atmosphere.

**Less good for:** Light sleepers, drivers who require on-site parking, or anyone who finds exterior granite steps and an internal staircase difficult. There is also no private outdoor space or laundry facility.
