A Grade II-listed fisherman’s cottage in St Ives Downalong quarter - the oldest part of town, where the lanes are too narrow for cars and granite walls run straight to the cobbles. The cottage sleeps 2 in 1 double bedroom and carries the marks of its history: beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls, and a coal-effect gas fire in the sitting room. A courtyard with table and chairs sits at the front.

The layout is compact by design. One bathroom serves the whole house, and the kitchen is self-catering standard. Dog-friendly with parking included and a small garden - practical extras that are harder to find in this part of town.

Porthmeor Beach is at the end of the road, 100 metres away - St Ives’ main surf beach, with surf hire on site and RNLI lifeguards in season. The Tate St Ives gallery is a similar distance west, positioned right above the beach. The Harbour Beach and Porthgwidden are both under 400 metres east. Barbara Hepworth’s Sculpture Garden is a short walk through the town centre.

Best for couples who want to be inside St Ives rather than driving to it each day, and who don’t mind a tight-but-characterful space. Less suited to anyone needing parking right at the door or a larger group - the single bedroom limits this firmly to 2.
