24 The Glade is a 2-bedroom cottage at Penstowe Holiday Village in Kilkhampton, a village about 5 miles north-east of Bude on Cornwall's north coast. The property sleeps 4, with a village pub just 0.1 miles from the door and a shop within half a mile.

A double bedroom and a twin room share a shower room with walk-in shower and WC. The open-plan living space has a kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer, plus a dining area and sitting area with TV. A travel cot is available on request. Note that there are steps up into the property and no Wi-Fi.

Sandymouth Beach - a National Trust beach with wide golden sand and the distinctive Steeple Rock formation - lies 2.8 miles to the west. Duckpool Beach, a remote rocky cove managed by the National Trust, sits 2.9 miles away. Both provide access to the South West Coast Path along the clifftops. Designated parking for 1 car is included, with a garden providing outdoor space.

Kilkhampton's parish church of St James has over 150 carved bench ends from the 15th and 16th centuries. The Coombe Valley nature reserve, managed by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, runs down to the coast about a mile from the village. Bude town centre and its beaches are under 20 minutes by car.

Best for a family or two couples happy with a short drive to the coast and a pub on the doorstep. Less good for anyone wanting step-free access or guaranteed Wi-Fi, since there are steps up into the property and none is provided.
