4 The Park

4 The Park is a single-storey, dog-friendly chalet at Penstowe Park in Kilkhampton, about 5 miles north-east of Bude in north Cornwall. The property sleeps four in two bedrooms and is open from March to the end of October only.

Inside, one double bedroom and one twin share a bathroom with bath and shower over. The open-plan living space includes a kitchen with electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice-box, and washing machine. WiFi is provided. The layout is straightforward - compact and practical for a couple or small family.

A non-enclosed side lawn with garden furniture sits outside the chalet. Off-road parking is available in a car park near the property. There is a step up to the entrance. One small dog is welcome. The pub is just 0.1 miles away and a shop is 0.4 miles from the door.

Sandymouth Beach, a National Trust beach with wide golden sands at low tide and reliable surf, is 4.6km to the west. Duckpool Beach, a remote rocky cove with dramatic cliffs, is 4.7km away. Kilkhampton village has a 15th-century church with over 150 carved bench ends. The Coombe Valley nature reserve, managed by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, lies about a mile west with waymarked woodland trails. Bude's town beaches and canal are under 20 minutes by car.
