In a commanding location overlooking St Ives harbour and Harbour Beach, this apartment suits couples or a family wanting to be immersed in Cornish coastal living. Shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs fill the streets right on the doorstep. With the working harbour and beach directly in front, there's always something to watch, even in winter when stormy seas add drama to the scene. St Ives has four beaches, and the South West Coast Path passes the door for cliff-top walks towards Carbis Bay. Porthmeor Beach is a short stroll away for surfers, or head to Gwithian and Godrevy (9 miles) for bigger waves. The Tate St Ives gallery is close by, and the town holds a Food & Drink Festival in May and a Music & Arts Festival in September. St Michael’s Mount and Land’s End are 9 and 18 miles away.

One flight of stairs from street level leads to the light-filled lounge/diner, with a large bay window and sofas arranged for the harbour views, plus an electric coal-effect fire for cooler evenings. A glazed screen separates the well-equipped kitchen. The double bedroom shares some of the sea views through an internal window into the living room, and a second bedroom has three single beds with a compact bathroom next door.

There is no outside space at this property, and no parking.

Best for couples or a family who want to be right on the harbour without needing a car, since there's no on-site parking or garden. Less good for dog owners, as dogs aren't accepted here.
