East Looe Beach, with its golden sand and harbour-side cafes, is 8.8 miles away. Liskeard itself is a market town on the Great Western Railway main line, with direct trains to Plymouth in 25 minutes. The Looe Valley branch line runs from Liskeard station through wooded valleys to Looe harbour in about 30 minutes.
