5 Lower Elms

5 Lower Elms is a three-bedroom cottage in St Minver, on the edge of Rock village, sleeping six across a double, a twin, and a bunk room. One bathroom with bath and shower serves all three. EV charging is a practical addition for electric car drivers, and dogs are welcome - one small dog can join the group.

Inside, the kitchen-diner has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. A separate utility room handles laundry, while the sitting room keeps living and cooking spaces distinct. Central heating, WiFi, and a TV are included. A private patio with garden furniture sits outside - useful for an early coffee or evening drinks without leaving the property.

Rock is one of north Cornwall's most in-demand estuary villages, facing Padstow across the Camel. The water taxi to Padstow runs every 20 minutes through the day, reaching Rick Stein's harbour-side restaurants and the Tuesday market without needing to drive. Daymer Bay beach - sheltered, sandy, and open to dogs year-round - is about 1.7 miles south. Polzeath, with a reliable surf break and hire schools, is roughly 2 miles north. The Camel Trail cycle path starts at Wadebridge, 4 miles south along the estuary.

Best for: families with a dog and an EV who want estuary village access without the premium of a waterfront address. Less good for: groups wanting sea views or a wood burner for winter stays.
