Single-storey lodge for two on a Marhamchurch resort
Barley Park is a semi-detached, single-storey lodge on the Whalesborough Resort and Spa site, close to Marhamchurch, which is 2.5 miles from Bude. It has one super-king-size bedroom and sleeps two. Marhamchurch itself has a shop and a pub.
The open-plan living space brings the kitchen, dining area and sitting area together around a woodburning stove, with underfloor heating and a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, whirlpool bath and TV. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.
Two well-behaved pets are welcome, with an extra charge per pet per night, and the enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue area. Parking is designated near the lodge, with more in the on-site car park, where EV chargers are available for an additional fee. A cot and highchair can be requested. Smoking is not allowed.
Guests can use the resort's indoor and outdoor heated pools, spa, sauna, steam room, gym, restaurant, indoor playroom and outdoor playground. The site also has a farm, and the South West Coast Path and the Camel Trail cycling route are named among its highlights.
It suits couples, and with a single bedroom it is less good for a group of three or more.
