Nest Cottage Bude

Nest Cottage Bude is a one-bedroom barn conversion for two in rural Marhamchurch, a village about a mile and a half south of Bude off the A39. The open-plan interior looks out across North Cornwall countryside, and one bathroom serves the double bedroom.

WiFi, parking, EV charging and a barbecue are included, but there is no wood burner, dishwasher or washing machine, and the property has no private garden. Guests instead share a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, tennis court and games room on site, an important distinction for anyone comparing this with a self-contained spa cottage where the pool and tub are for one party alone. Up to one dog can stay, and host Robert manages the booking, so laundry needs are worth planning around for a stay longer than a few nights.

Marhamchurch itself has the Norman church of St Marwenne and the Bullers Arms pub, and Bude's beaches are a short drive away: Summerleaze and Crooklets are about five minutes by car. Widemouth Bay is 1.9 miles from the barn, Summerleaze Beach 2.5 miles and Crooklets Beach 2.8 miles.

**Best for:** a couple wanting a dog-friendly rural base with shared pool, hot tub and tennis, plus EV charging.

**Less good for:** guests requiring a private hot tub, an enclosed garden, on-site laundry or step-free access.
