Bay Tree Farmhouse

Bay Tree Farmhouse is positioned on over 100 acres of land at the end of a private lane in Coombe, surrounded by the owners’ garden with plenty of walks from the doorstep. A pub and shop are 1.5 miles away. The harbour towns of Mevagissey, Charlestown and Fowey are within 15 miles, and the cathedral city of Truro is 12 miles. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 6 miles away, and the Eden Project is 10 miles.

The period farmhouse has a hallway, a lounge with Smart TV, Netflix and a flame-effect electric stove, and a country-style kitchen/diner with a piano, dining table and breakfast bar. The kitchen has an oil-fired Heritage Range cooker; the utility room adds an electric hob, double oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A ground-floor shower room and separate WC complete that level. Upstairs, four bedrooms sleep six: a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (also usable as a twin), a double and two singles, most with views across the communal gardens and fields. The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment plus a separate shower and WC.

Outside, the enclosed lawned garden has mature shrubs and borders, with a communal lawn area and pond. An Iron Age hill fort on the owners’ land is free for guests to explore. Driveway parking takes three cars, and the property has a private water supply.

Best for families or groups wanting space to roam, given the 100 acres of grounds, hill fort and enclosed garden for children and dogs. Less good for guests wanting a coastal base, since the harbour towns are a 15-mile drive.
