Lamorna Cove is 0.8km down the valley - a sheltered granite cove with clear water and a harbour wall, popular with sea swimmers and divers. Mousehole, 3km north, has a harbour, several cafes, and an annual Christmas lights display. Penzance, with supermarkets, a mainline station, and the Tate St Ives ferry, is about 5km north-east. The Minack Theatre, an open-air venue cut into the cliffs at Porthcurno, is 6km west.
