Bosavern House

Bosavern House is a bed and breakfast in a 17th-century house in St Just - the most westerly market town in mainland England. Rooms have wifi, a TV, and views of either the sea toward the Atlantic or the granite moorland behind. Breakfast uses local produce and is served each morning. Dogs are welcome.

The bar downstairs stocks Cornish ales and the sitting room holds a library of books about west Cornwall. There is a garden and off-street parking. No hot tub, dishwasher, or self-catering facilities - this is a traditional B&B, priced per night.

Cape Cornwall, the only cape in England and owned by the National Trust, is 1 mile northwest. Priests Cove is 2.2km away - a small working cove at the foot of Cape Cornwall used by local fishing boats. Sennen Cove and its surf beach is 4.8km south. The Crowns engine houses at Botallack - perched on the cliff face above the sea - are part of the UNESCO Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape and are a 3-mile walk along the coast path.

Best for walkers, history buffs, and those wanting a quiet base for exploring west Penwith. Less good for families with young children - no self-catering, no play facilities, and the nearest sandy beach is a drive.
