Porthcothan Bay, a wide sandy cove with dunes and a seasonal lifeguard service, is 2.7km from the property. Bedruthan Steps - the dramatic rock stack formation and National Trust headland - is 3.3km, and Treyarnon Bay, popular with rockpoolers, is 3.8km. Padstow town, with its harbour, fish restaurants and coastal ferry to Rock, is around 5 miles east.

The area sits on the North Cornwall coast between Newquay and Padstow, giving good access to surf beaches in both directions. Constantine Bay is around 4km for a reliable break, and Watergate Bay is 9 miles south.

This is best for families or a group of up to six who want countryside accommodation within easy driving distance of several beaches, without being right on the coast. Two bathrooms reduce morning queuing, and the open-plan ground floor gives space for the group to eat together. Not great for guests wanting coastal walks from the door - you will need a car for the beaches.
