Mousehole village and its tidal beach are 3.3km further along the coast. Penberth Cove, one of the smaller working fishing coves in this stretch of the Penwith coast, is 4.3km. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is about 5km in the other direction.

Dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden means they can be left outside safely. The property has parking on-site. St Buryan village has a post office and a pub within roughly 2km, and Penzance is the nearest town with a full range of shops and a railway connection.
