The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is under 4km, and the outdoor cliff-top performance season runs from May through September. The walking routes from the property connect into the South West Coast Path at multiple points within a short distance. Sennen Cove and its surf beach is about 7km.

The St Buryan area is inland granite moorland with ancient stone circles - the Merry Maidens standing stones are about 2km from the village. The church tower in St Buryan is a navigation landmark visible across the far west peninsula and dates to the 15th century.
