This self-contained cabin sits in the grounds of a 125-year-old family home in Camborne, with one double bedroom and an en-suite bathroom for two guests. It is a purpose-built chalet, set back from the main house. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 10:00, and the cabin sleeps two.

The kitchenette runs on a combination convection-and-microwave oven, kettle, toaster and portable twin hob, enough for simple self-catering. A Freeview TV and Amazon Firestick cover the living area. Free WiFi and private parking come as standard, and a terrace looks onto the garden. A welcome package is left for arrival.

Camborne's mining history runs through the wider area, and the cabin is a short walk from the train station for onward trips. Carbis Bay is 12 miles, and St Michael's Mount is 14 miles down the coast. Tate St Ives and the Minack Theatre are also within reach for a day out.

Best for a couple or solo traveller wanting a private, self-catering base with parking who doesn't mind cooking without a full oven. Less good for groups, since the cabin sleeps two in a single bedroom.
