Hay Loft

Hay Loft is a converted barn at Bolenowe Farm, a small hamlet near Camborne in central Cornwall. The property accommodates up to 3 adults across two bedrooms and welcomes one dog. Underfloor heating throughout and a wood-burning stove in the sitting area keep the space warm in cooler months.

The barn uses a reverse-level layout, with the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area on the upper floor. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, washer-dryer, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee maker. A Smart TV, books, and games are provided. Downstairs, a double bedroom and a single bedroom each have their own en-suite shower room. A cot and highchair are available. Note that the single bedroom is separated by a curtain rather than a solid door.

Off-road parking fits one car. Lawned and gravel gardens surround the barn - there is a fenced drop to the gravelled courtyard, so children need supervision near the edge. Portreath Beach, a sandy north coast beach with reliable surf and summer lifeguards, is 4.8 miles north. Gwithian Towans, with miles of dune-backed sand at the west end of St Ives Bay, is 6.3 miles.

Camborne is on the main London Paddington to Penzance rail line. The free Heartlands heritage centre at nearby Pool covers Cornish mining history. Carn Brea hill, a short drive south, gives panoramic views across both coasts. The nearest pub is 3 miles away and the nearest shop 4 miles.

Best for two couples or a small family wanting private en-suites, with underfloor heating and a wood burner for cooler stays. Less good for groups wanting full privacy in every room - the single bedroom is separated by a curtain rather than a door.
