Candle Croft

Candle Croft is a 2-bedroom cottage in the Tolgus Mount area of Redruth, sleeping 4 guests and welcoming up to 4 dogs - with the first 2 free of charge. The enclosed front garden makes it practical for travelling with pets.

A super-king-size bedroom (zip/link, convertible to twin on request) and a twin bedroom sit upstairs, with a ground-floor shower room fitted with walk-in shower. The kitchen is separate from the living/dining room, which has an electric fire. A conservatory adds extra sitting space. The kitchen includes an electric oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.

Off-road parking for 2 cars is provided, and the enclosed front garden has a lawn, patio and outdoor furniture. Portreath Beach - a sandy north coast beach with RNLI lifeguards in summer and rock pools at the western end - is 2.5 miles away. Trevaunance Cove at St Agnes, with surf and bodyboarding, is 5.9 miles.

Redruth sits at the heart of the UNESCO Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape. Heartlands, a free heritage attraction on the edge of town, has interactive exhibits, gardens and a playground. Carn Brea ridge above the town gives 360-degree views. A pub is 0.2 miles from the cottage.

Best for a multi-dog family - up to four dogs are welcome, with the first two free, and there's an enclosed garden to match. Less good for anyone wanting to walk to the coast; the nearest beach at Portreath is 2.5 miles by car.
