Kernyk

Kernyk is a two-storey cottage near Carn Brea, between Redruth and Camborne, sleeping up to four guests in two bedrooms. The property sits in the hamlet of Tregajorran, within the UNESCO Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape, and makes a solid inland base for exploring the central Cornwall coast.

The ground floor has a kitchen and a living/dining room with a woodburning stove. A super-king bedroom (convertible to twin on request) and a double bedroom are upstairs. One bathroom has a bath with shower over; a separate shower room has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher and coffee maker. A Smart TV, WiFi and Bluetooth sound system are provided.

Outside, an enclosed rear patio has a gravelled area, barbecue and outdoor furniture. Off-road parking accommodates two cars. The nearest shop is 0.6 miles away and the closest pub 0.9 miles.

Portreath Beach - a sandy north coast surf beach with summer lifeguard cover - is 3.1 miles north. Godrevy Beach, part of a wide National Trust sweep of sand at the eastern end of St Ives Bay, is 5.8 miles away. Heartlands heritage centre in Redruth is free to visit and gives an introduction to the Cornish mining story.
